the 6th year

it was 7th Sept 6 yrs ago, on a sat evening, that I received Christ into my life. It's a really significant day in my life...So in marky's terms.. he calls it my spiritual birthday...

It's also the 1st time I manage to go to church since I came back to S'pore about a month ago and started taking care of my mum. I went to Yishun Methodist Mission again at Yishun GV, for the 2nd time this year.. becoz Simon Cheo is there and it's the nearest church I know of.. which I feel comfortable worshipping at.

It started off as a pretty good morning.. I had some difficulty getting up early.. but still in time to drive there.. I could easily bus there.. coz I have a direct bus.. but wasn't early enuff... Corporate Worship was awesome and I just had a great time soaking in God's presence. It's their missions month in church and it's so apt for me to be there...

I know I have my responsibilities so no intentions to stay there late.. after service, casually talked to Simon and Evon abit.. then he prayed for me.. I didn't want to hold him up.. so I left shortly.. and went to Northpoint to get some stuff from Guardian Pharmacy.. but to my dismay.. it's poorly stocked and no pharmacist around, so I couldn't get what I wanted for my mum.. I thot perhaps my mum wanted to eat some outside food that I can't whip out for her.. so I rang her and I take-away char kuay teow for her and hokkien mee for myself.. got stuck for a shortwhile at bodyshop coz they have some sale and I wanted to get some foot lotions and shower gels.. then I quickly make my way back to the car at GV Yishun... as I was exiting the carpark, which was not very tight but a lil. winding.. I was abnormally confident about my driving skills and didn't check as much as usual and the accident happened. Next thing I know I heard a scratching sound.. the back car door behind the passenger seat was scratched against the wall.. :| the BMW 745 Li that I'm driving got scratched.. aarrgghhh.. and I got pretty devastated and distracted.. and I almost had another accident along the way home.. it could be I'm tired I don't know.. but I think Satan is really hard at work to prevent me from going to church. after I got home, my mum was concerned about me.. and comforted me.. and said not to worry.. my dad was a bit unhappy which is understandable.. but later on in the day my mum said this morning when I was leaving for church she said she had this gut feeling about something is gonna happen when I go out.. and true enuff something happened. she wanted to stop me from going to church but she didn't want to appear to be unreasonable.. and she regretted not stopping me to go to church.. then all these wouldn't have happened.. *sighz.. (some bgd info, my mum is not a believer.. she's a staunch buddhist...)

Owells, I guess I have to get over this episode.. and move on.. and be more careful while driving in the future.. especially while driving such a big car.. but to be honest.. I usually will turn on the sensor and pay extra attention when exiting or entering carparks in singapore coz they are most of the time too tight for the car.. and maybe I gotta watch my attitude sometimes.. and not be over-confident... HUMILITY.. HUMILITY...

Back from the Markets

So sad.. besides my dear marky.. don't think anyone have realised that I've updated my blog.. and change new blogskin.. my next aim is to create my own fancy blogskin.. the one I had previously was created by myself.. but feels a bit dull after a while..

As the title indicates.. yeah.. I've came back from the wet markets for about an hour.. my mum and I were there for about 1 hr+.. buying fishes, pork, veggies & breakky. Somehow I pretty enjoy these wet market trips.. better than when I was younger.. maybe it's the novelty.. haha.. NTUC, Cold Storage, Woolies, Coles.. they are sooo not authentic.. haha.. but according to the chinese saying 早起的鸟儿有虫吃 （the earlybirds get the worms)... I had to force myself to wake up at 7+am.. to go to the market.. bbbrrr.. I ended up only sleeping at about 4am.. coz I realised my tagboard wasn't working properly.. and I had to debug the codes of the blog.. and see where I went wrong.. which took abt an hr.. :P

Maybe just maybe.. I'll do some backlog blogging of some recent trips around WA... :P

Fresh Look

Hey all,

I think I've come to a conclusion that I spend more time changing my blogskin than I actually blog in the past yr! :P

Anyway, I really like this blogskin and decided to use it... spend some time editing & still need to do a bit of tweaking for it to be perfected.. but just bear with the little errors for now..

ie. if you click on comments.. you'll be directed back to the welcome page.. just click on the blog (which is represented by the pens) again and you'll come to the comments page thingy.. it works abt the same as archives.. so hehee.. as of now.. we just have to go the roundabout way..

I've spent abt 2 hrs just editing the skin to adapt to my needs.. and it's late now.. and I gotta wake up early to go buy fish at the market with my mum..

I promise with this nice fancy blog template.. I'll try to update more soon.. :P
