Praise the Lord

Yes, all I want is to praise Him now.. coz He's so good.. He's a God that's real, a God that answers prayers. Thank you heavenly father for healing my mother, thank you for your grace and mercy, that she don't need to have operation, and that the growth of the tumour is under control. Thank You for the blessings and grace Lord.. I love You Lord! I love the nature you've created. I love the family and friends you've given me..Thank You Lord!

Decisions...Decisions...

Windy day

dragged myself out of bed this morning at 9:35am.. hehe.. have a database lecture and jap tutorial clash.. decided to go for the database lecture instead.. arrived sch only at 10:15am.. hehe.. better late than never... the journey to sch was quite scary.. I was waiting at a traffic light along riverside drive.. and the wind was kindaf strong.. my windows were all up.. and can still hear the wind howling... then tiny droplets fell from the sky.. it was kindaf like hailstorm or something.. not pure rain.. it stained the windows of my car.. :( ...and I felt my car shaking... coz the wind is so strong... I thot maybe I'd fly away with the car... if it gets any stronger... thank God it didn't... then it started pouring b/w the link from riverside drive to mounts bay road... and by the time I get near to Uni.. it's clear blue sky.. weird huh??... The weather was like this as well on Monday.. but anywayz I like it this way... haha.. coz I don't like to walk around uni when it's raining or drizzling... (unlike Janice..who loves to walk and play in the rain)... even though there's no more rain... the wind was still pretty strong.. at one point while walking to the psychology building, I thot I'm gonna fly away... seriously.. I think if I open up my arms.. I'd have been "gone with the wind"... btw, I kindaf messed up the psychology online test.. cool.. no short answered questions... only MCQ and T/F questions.. but it was tough.. pretty tough I thot... well, I just hope and pray that I'll pass...

searched high and low

Oh hooray.. hehe.. Carmen helped me to end my day on a happy note .. coz she has sunday's church bulletin.. which I was searching high and low for... coz I went to church late.. and they ran out of bulletin.. :( ...why do I want it for.. haha.. well, I'm a Junk collector.. basically I keep ALOT of stuff.. including bulletins.. hahaha.. and furthermore, last sunday, 22nd Aug'04 was my birthday.. so I want the bulletin as a "memorandum" - lame and dumb I know.. but it's moi business... hahaha.. Anyone who happen to visit my blog.. pls pray for me for my psychology online test that's gonna be held tom kaez.. maybe not worth a lot.. but hopefully I'll be able to answer the questions.. :P

Lame Title

hehehe.. *grinz* I know the title is kindaf lame... oh well, SSSH is actually my initials.. (according to S'pore style of writing the full name) Shirley Seah Shi Hui... which is also my style of asking pple to keep quiet.. the norm should be "ssshhhhhh" more h than s... but no one cares huh?!? why keep it a secret then? coz my blog is supposed to be "private" only The selected few knows abt my webby.. which has temporarily shifted to here.. :P so yep... today no class.. but supposed to be studying... tomorrow got some sort of psych online test during the lab.. :( Gotta go... Ja ne! (abbrv. form of Ja mata which means Seeya in Jap) :P

my 20th birthday

it's 23rd Aug'04... yesterday was 220884.. hehe.. my 20th birthday... the 4th birthday I've celebrated in Perth, Australia.. quite a happy and good one I reckon.. haha.. coz for the past 3 birthdays... I was either feeling "upset" or "lonely" and cried either on birthday eve or birthday.. haha.. now, come to think of it.. I think I'm really a "crybaby"... :P ..or maybe it's pre-birthday symptoms ?!? wasn't looking forward to today...coz I have a jap test today.. well, thinking on the positive side.. it's only worth 5%.. hehe

my birthday celebration.. officially started on Sat evening.. went to this restaurant in Swan Valley, called Whiteman's Abroad... the food is quite.. nice building. and atmosphere.. (it's some historical building, built in 1845, apparently, it's like Flutes restaurant in Margaret River, only open on certain days, btw, it's in the Entertainment Booklet, gold card section if you perthy pple are interested) we made the reservation at 7:30pm.. and left the house only at 7:50pm.. hehee.. couldn't help it.. my sis and I were troubled over what to wear for The occasion(we spent more than half an hr choosing what to wear).. haha.. and furthermore, she has to be my consultant.. :P Well, in the end.. I chose this white skirt, and a black top(which u can see in the photo below)... and I dashed into my sister's room to seek her opinion... and well, guess what?? my sis was wearing a white skirt.. and a black spaghetti strap top... :( haha.. so in the end.. she had to change AGain.. yes.. I think we tried on abt 10 different clothes that night.. but my sis was the ultimate winner.. her whole bed was strewn with clothes.. hehehe.. you wonder whether I'm the birthday girl or she's the one... :P Anyhow, that's not the most ridiculous thing that happened on Sat nite.. guess what??.. I'm the birthday girl.. and I had to pay for the dinner 1st?? (It's supposed to be a birthday treat from my sis and weihao) coz my sis's credit card reached the limit... *sighz*...

Well, maybe it's the norm or whatsoever.. I anticipated for a "birthday surprise"... although I shouldn't... b'coz if there isn't one.. I think I'd be soooo disappointed..Well, in the end, there was one.. after service in church on sunday morning... at the refreshment area.. hehe.. and sang birthday song twice.. once in church.. cut the cake.. and went to foowah restaurant to eat (opp. the church, so that the ice-cream cake won't melt, more convenient etc..) and had another round of birthday song.. coz Teck wanted to "malu" me... in the end the cake was kind of melting.. coz the stupid foowah pple only put it inside the fridge.. and not the freezer.. even though we asked them to put inside the FrEeZer... : but it still tasted good.. yummy.. everyone had a satisfied look... hehehe.. I reckon it cost a bomb.. (Thanx lots Casey..) Think it's the 1st ice-cream cake I ever had... (that I can remember)... :P

And the last, and the most ridiculous thing I've ever experienced.. Attending someone else's "birthday party" on My Birthday.. hahaa... it's Alvin's 16th birthday on 24th Aug..Adrian back for holidays and Auntie Linda invited a no. of pple over to her place.. little did she know that it's actually My birthday, hmmz, but the moment I walked in.. Uncle Kevin wished me happy birthday.. coz he was sitting at the table behind us in foowah.. so he learned abt it... and Uncle Matt (Auntie Linda's hubby) was there as well, so he also wished me happy birthday.. then Pastor Melvin was walking by.. and overheard.. and likewise, wished me happy birthday.. (kindaf weird huh??)....but who cares...the food was good.. hehehe.. nice yong tau foo, fried beehoon, noodles... soon kueh (but not made by Auntie Linda).. and TiRaMiSu... omigosh.. the tiramisu was so Nice.. haha.. thumbs up for that.. I'm pretty sure Shan shan will agree with me.. coz she ate 3 servings.. haha (although I also ate 3 servings, but it's smaller than hers.. :P, and she was the one who forced me to take the 3rd serving.. hahaha) and here comes the Hilarious part... after the 1st serve of tiramisu.. I was chatting with Shan.. Previously, we were just joking abt how Bernice was taking-away the left over food.. n how buai paiseh she is... hehe..(but in fact lotsaf pple dapao the left over food.. esp. the working young adults) then I was telling Shan, hmmz.. I dun want to take away the left over food.. hahaa.. I want to takeaway the tiramisu... haha.. (n guess what?? our conversation was overheard, by Yvette... a.lina and u.matt's daughter-in-law...) and she went "No problem arh, if there's leftover, just bring home lor" omigosh, so Paiseh.. somemore, I was just kidding.. Anyhow, Shan was pretty sure that the tiramisu will be finished up... but Yvette thought otherwise... (there was a female olympics volleyball match going on... and majority of the young pple were glued to the tv, cheering either for the china team or the russia team... but Shan and I decided that eating Tiramisu was More Impt!) The end result was.. China team won!! hooray to that.. and pple started feasting on the tiramisu... and well, I had my fair share of tiramisu as well.. :P in fact, I took the last piece ... *grinz*... and Yvette came "Oh no, finish already..." and walked away... Later, Uncle Matt and Auntie Linda came to me and said.. "We'll specially made another tiramisu for you lah.. as belated birthday present..." omigosh... it was embarrassing to the max.. and I laughed so hard.. and the worst is.. I started blushing..(Shan noticed it.. and asked "Why are u blushing"... ) while trying to explain that I was just kidding.. and said that it's Shan that wanted the tiramisu badly...
It was so "malu-ating"!!!....

Overall, my birthday was great.. hehe.. I really enjoyed the weekend lots.. and yes.. thank God for blessing me with lotsaf friends and thank you for letting me be born on this special day 20 yrs ago.. :) hehe.. Thanks lots for Qianz, Tian, Joanna - who remembered my birthday... and many others.. hehe.. it was great seeing the little twin stars birthday greetings on Qianling's blog.. Tian and Joanna's msn nick changed to h@pPy Bd@Y sHiRlEy!! and Happie Birthdae ssh! 祝你福如东海，寿比南山！respectively(Yesh... super traditional chinese greetings.. hahaha) ... but yeah.. I was really touched that u guys remembered my birthday... haha.. I like being the birthday girl... made me feel like I'm Cinderella on my birthday... but when it reached 12am... everything is back to the same old, plain Jane... but all is good.. :) hehehe
